Ram lambs led the way in the Badger Face Texel ring with a top shout of 1600gns for one from Dave and Kathryn Thompson, Blandford Forum, Dorset. By Knockmult Freddie and out of Tamtain Electra, a Hunters Dizzee Rascal daughter, Eastbury Gary The Unicorn had previously stood champion at the Bath and West Show this year before being the pick of the Barker and Borlase family, Church Stretton, Shropshire.
Joining him on the trailer back to Church Stretton was the top priced female on the day, Look Here Fern from Austen and Michelle Lockyer, Highbridge, Somerset, selling for 1000gns. This one is by an import from the Ingst flock and is out of a Turbo daughter by a Turbo Das Notorious B.I.G.
Then at 950gns was another shearling female, Woodies Firebird from previous vendors Dave and Kathryn Thompson. By Woodies Full Monty, a Dutch Import, this one carries fully Dutch breeding on both sides and sold to Messrs Gould and Son, Wells, Somerset.
Then at 850gns was the pre-sale champion, Bluestone Felix from Nina Smith, Moreton In Marsh. Judged by Jayden Clamp, this shearling ram is by Silvermere Evolution and out is out of a homebred female by a Turbo Das impot ram. Taking him home to Solihull, Warwickshire, was Danni Creighton.
