There was fierce competition in the Badger Face section at the 2025 Royal Welsh Show, with Celt Gucci, a ewe lamb from Dyfed Jones, taking top honours under judge Will Abram.

Held in perfect summer show conditions, the section drew competitive entries, despite ongoing bluetongue movement restrictions keeping the line-up to only Welsh flocks.
Celt Gucci, born in January and sired by Knockmult Elliot out of a Dutch-imported ewe, stood out from the outset and was tapped out as champion female and overall champion.
In the ram lamb class, the Pistyll flock stood out above the rest, with Angharad Francis placing both first and second before going on to take champion male and reserve overall champion with her leading entry.

Elsewhere, Mr Jones’ Celt flock added to their first and second in the ewe lamb class and claimed top spot with their shearling ewe, rounding off a strong day for the team.

The group of three class was topped by Gemma James, whose consistent team caught the judge’s eye, with I D and S B James placing second.
