Dungannon trade peaks at 2500gns

Top price at the end of August Badger Face Texel Sheep Society sale at Dungannon was a ewe lamb from Andrew McCutcheon of the Bodoney flock which sold to 2500gns.

This sweet ewe lamb, Bodoney Energetic sired by Brougher Cruiser is out of Brougher Crinkles, who is a daughter of Drumard Ed ET.  She was purchased by Tara O’Brien of the Bonny and Bold flock.

The same home was also responsible for the following leading price at 1600gns for Bodoney Equalizer who shares the same breeding as the top price ewe lamb. Equalizer was first in his class and went to his new home with Patrick Hogan, Co. Carlow.

The first prize ewe lamb at the pre-sale show from Russell Millen of the Knockmult flock achieved 720gns. This January born lamb, Knockmult Effie, is sired by Duhonw JAM/22/12256 and the daughter of Brown and Mason Cutiepie out of Tamtain Buster. 

Messrs A & J Carson achieved 680gns for their home-bred shearling gimmer, Little Whisker Dahl. Sired by Little Whisker (Import) 25897-63718 and out of Little Whisker Delhia goes to her new home with Gareth Hempton, Omagh.

Top price shearling ram and Reserve Champion of the day was Clive Richardson’s Cleenagh Dragons Den. He is sired by the renowned Cleenagh Paddy Power (Import) and a daughter of Cleenagh (Import) Y86. Dragons Den sold to 620gns to Jonathan Redmond, Co Armagh.
